WHERE'S THE &%$*@# CONTENT???

This whole branch of my site began when I tried using Lycos with the search-terms "hypertext" and "education". All I could find was links to links to links to links... to talk about hypertext and education!

So I started a list of high-content hypertext experiments (some of which I've now been able to integrate into other pages in this section.)

My new nominee for Best Hypertext Design in a WWWeb Site is Gareth Rees' pages which include some fine style guides, along with some fine fiction and materials about interactive fiction.

I think the most exciting use of hypertext on the WWWeb is for archiving interesting threads from netnews newsgroups, with commentary and a link to the newsgroup itself.

A well-designed attack on Scientology

An intro to 'memetics'

(Thanks to Mark S. Bilk for these references)

A collection of materials about the CompuServe/GIF patent controversy

A bold experiment in interactive Bible-criticism

Most of the 'courses' listed in this Yahoo page are not really on-line

"Engines of Education" by Roger Schank and Chip Cleary, a severely deluded attempt at a hyperbook for educators

And (hoorah!) the most beautiful site on the Web, I'm thinking...

Another striking site-- Cyanosis Magazine-- with good content
