The simple fact is that the broadcast spectra belong to the people, and were lent to the networks on the condition they serve the community. But they're conspicuously not serving the community, and McLaughlin on PBS is the prototype of mass-media negative intelligence.

His winning-thru-intimidation rhetorical style has gotten far more than its share of airtime... and look at the lovely democracy it's maintained for us! Pack this guy in salt and bury him in the desert...
